本記事では、一点ごとに状態が異なる「古着」という二次流通品において、算出が極めて困難だったカーボンフットプリント（CFP）の可視化に焦点を当てています。
フリマアプリ上のフリマアプリ上に登録された商品情報から、AIを活用して一着ごとの環境負荷を自動算出する手法を確立。これまで「一点物」ゆえにコストと時間がかかりすぎていた算出プロセスをいかに打破し、社会実装へと繋げたのか、その舞台裏が深掘りされています。

The project is a collaborative effort involving Dami moon (Mercari R4D Lab) and Sumiaki Kusahata (Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems,Graduate School of Engineering).

They have established a method to automatically calculate the environmental impact of individual items by leveraging AI to analyze the product data registered on web apps.The article provides a deep dive into how they overcame the costly, time-consuming process inherent to ‘unique and varied conditions’ items to pave the way for real-world application .
